Here at Mewaldt Organics/Mewaldt’s Farm and Nursery, we (Bill and Korena Mewaldt)
have been growing and selling produce, seeds and plants for over 30 years. Located in
the Lahontan Valley near Fallon, we’ve always used organic methods and were certified
organic for 20 years. Due to downsizing issues we had to give up our certification, but
we didn’t give up our devotion to organic ideals.

The seeds we use for starting plants for this sale are all from varieties we have been
propagating for many years here in Northern Nevada and are well adapted to our sun
and soil conditions. The strawberry plants are from Territorial Seeds. Our potting soil
is a mix of organic ingredients including peat moss, compost (Full Circle, organic),
vermiculite or pearlite, and a bit of organic fertilizer (Dr. Earth this year).
