Jacob's Berry Farm (Gardnerville, NV) has new operators 
After many beloved years with Jack Jacob's, former owner of Jacobs Berry Farm, the family decided to sell the whole operation. We were super nervous about what this meant for the future of these incredible Northern Nevada berry gems.
To our great surprise (and delight) we recently learned that Dan McClure and family will now be running things. Dan, Rachel, Atlas and Roark used to sell artisanal mushrooms to our co-op nearly 12 years ago under their brand name, Nevada's Own. They moved out of Northern Nevada for a period of time and have recently moved back. We decided to take a trip to see the McClure's and learn more about their plans for the berry farm. Yesterday morning we received this year's first delivery of Jacob's Blackberries and they did not disappoint! Seriously mouth watering fruit. 🤤🤤🤤 The Northern Nevada frigid nights lend itself to the sweetness of the berries...they have to create more sugar to stay warm.
