Yes! One (two now) of our co-op co-founders officially started back at the co-op this week as our part-time sustainability and local food coordinator. Nicole Sallaberry is helping to rewrite our product buying guidelines, set up local farmer contracts for 2013 and provide staff support and education for our expanding local food system here in Northern Nevada...welcome back, we need you! message from our new local food & sustainability coordinator: "Unfortunately Proposition 37 did not pass in California this time around. Until there is mandatory labeling of Genetically Engineered foods they could be in anything that is not certified organic...(continued on next panel)
