We got to check out and work with the new Silver Springs co-op near Dayton. These guys have opened a tiny little storefront...about 150 sq. ft, much like our first little tiny storefront in the back of sound and fury records off wells ave (2005). So proud of these folks and grateful that co-ops are taking root here in Nevada! To think, a community-owned store where locals get to make the decisions, create quality jobs, economically contribute to a local food system and agriculture that directly impacts the dirt, air and water of our region...so thankful for the cooperative model, we own it!
Silver Springs co-op is about to  kick off a natural foods buying club to help with access issues in their community (this is how we got started too!!).  If you know of folks who live out in the Silver Springs area and who are in need of better access to healthy and affordable foods please contact their co-founders Lee Zuti or Linda Hoyen: lee.zuti@gmail.com  Their next social gathering is on December 10th at 6:00pm 3595 Spruce @ Ramsey Weeks Cut Off in Silver Springs, NV.
Find quirky, cute, local and handmade holiday gifts upstairs in our Wellness Department:
