SAVE UNR FARMS!
Wednesday March 27th, 6:00pm at City Hall is the final hearing to decide the fate of the 104 acres at Main Station Farm.  If you care about the future of local food and farming in Northern Nevada then don't miss your chance to come out, show your support and let our city leaders know that we would rather have sustainable ag land preserved as opposed to more unneeded commercial development.  Email RSVP@greatbasinfood.coop if you are planning on coming down.
The April GBCFC Board Meeting has been moved Monday April 22nd at 6:00pm upstairs in the community cafe.  All members are welcome to attend!

"We shouldn't forget that the sustainable-food movement, taken as a whole, has never really been elitist. It is industrial food, which concentrates production and profit in a few hands while churning out mountains of highly marketed junk, that is truly elitist."
Tom Philpott, 2011

1) Clarify a current limit on dealing in the products of nonmembers
2) Allow elected board members to enact and amend bylaws on behalf of members
3) Facilitate mergers and conversions
