Everyone’s favorite peppers are back! Shishitos from Pioneer Farms in Fallon have arrived. These famous peppers are delicious roasted, BBQ’d, or grilled in a cast iron skillet. Check out the rowing NV class on cast iron cooking this week to learn more!

Nicole and Amber recently spent part of a day at Peri & Sons onion farm in Yerington, Nevada with David Peri, the owner. He was awesome, informative, and is a wizard when it comes to post harvest veggie handling… David and his team have developed a science with core cooling, onion sweating, and air circulation that allows vegetables to last their very longest. 🥬🥒🥦🥕 Look for their organic cabbage, celery, broccoli, romaine lettuce [on sale now!] and cauliflower on our shelves at AMAZING prices. 🙌🏽 The units that he uses to cool the veggies are ammonia based rather than Freon 🌍 ❤️

Our DROPP delivery truck got a makeover this week and she’s ready to bring you the goods! Order Sundays and Wednesdays at www.dropp.coop

Ever wonder how we do it? Well, we've got some of the best minds working behind the scenes at our food hub! For the upcoming busy local season we brought in resident map whiz, logistics guru, and all-around free-thinker Enzo to help re-route our DROPP delivery truck through town. At our last meeting he unveiled this "as the bee flies" route proposal - and while it looks a little avant garde, he assures us we should be shaving a few minutes off those delivery times. Thanks Enzo!

Want to learn about fermenting foods? Our pals at Brew Chatter are putting on this FREE workshop from 12-3pm on Sat Aug 31st. DROPP will be supplyin' Local veggies for this intro class to the ancient, delicious, gut-friendly practice. Come learn from the pros and self proclaimed Beer Nerds!
