Do You Need More Magnesium?

Magnesium is an essential mineral that serves hundreds of functions within the body, serving as a cofactor in more than 300 enzymatic reactions that regulate diverse systems in the body, including protein synthesis, muscle and nerve function, blood glucose control, and blood pressure regulation, to name a few.
The average American diet contains barely over 50% of the US RDA of magnesium, as increased application of potassium-rich fertilizers leads to decreased magnesium uptake in plants. Additionally, the body uses magnesium to manage stress response, and depleted magnesium levels exacerbate stress and anxiety. Therefore, most Americans are deficient in this essential mineral due to chronically high stress levels and depleted levels of magnesium in our foods.
Topical magnesium products are applied to the skin and absorbed directly into the bloodstream transdermally. The body is believed to more effectively utilize transdermal magnesium because it bypasses the digestive system and is directly absorbed into the bloodstream.
Ancient Minerals Magnesium Products are all from Magnesium Chloride, the kind of magnesium that comes from the ocean. Some health experts argue that magnesium chloride is more usable by the human body than magnesium sulfate, which comes from Epsom salts. Fall Potatoes Are Planted!
Thanks to the volunteer crew that helped Farmer Todd Rissone get the seed potatoes ready for planting last Monday, and Lyndsey Langsdale (Reno Food Systems) and Nicole Sallaberry (Berri Baserri Farm) who helped Todd get these in the ground last Thursday. We will have an abundance of fall potatoes at the co-op. 🤠 🥔🥔🥔
