In a just-published New York Times piece, Michael Pollan, author of The
Omnivore's Dilemma and other books, says that California's ballot measure
to label genetically engineered foods has the potential "to change the
politics of food not just in California but nationally too."

A victory for California's Prop 37 would tip the balance of power away
from multi-national giants like Monanto, Dow Chemical, and Cargill and
expand the range of healthy foods available to you at the supermarket.
Here's what you can do:
- Support California's effort. They're up against some of the most powerful industries on the planet--but they've got a good shot at winning!  Help pay for a few TV ads or make a few phone calls to California voters--anything you can do will help.  (http://www.carighttoknow.org/)  Polls say that if the vote happened today Proposition 37 would win by 16%!!!
- Help launch Nevada's effort. Tell candidates running for the Nevada House or Senate you support GMO labeling.
