Join Steve Shore of Misty Crystal Ranch this Sunday (8/25) at 3pm at the co-op for a homemade cheese making workshop! Steve will show us how to make Chèvre, or French style fresh goat cheese, he will also talk about other easy cheeses you can make, queso blanco, and lemon cheese. He will explain a little about cultures and rennet and will have a hand out with the recipes and different books and suppliers...and of course we can sample the cheese! About Steve: "I live in Palomino Valley I have had goats for 23 years, it started out as a 4H project for my children but soon grew much bigger, until we were milking 13 and showing goats in open shows all over Nevada and California, milking that many goats you have a lot of milk so I started making cheese, and also goats milk soap which the co-op sells, I'm the goat man at the spring and fall seedling sale."
