LOCAL FOOD FORUM
at the Great Basin Community Food Coop

The purpose of this Local Food Forum is to give City of Reno mayoral and council candidates the opportunity to discuss local food systems and urban agriculture with the community.
THIS SATURDAY!
May 17th from 9am-1pm
When else are streets blocked off for a fair entirely devoted to seedlings, local growers, local food, and merriment?!
For this event, you’ll be able to browse from dozens of local growers’ seedlings, which are high quality and adapted to Nevada’s climate. You’ll have the chance to pick farmers’ brains about their secret tips and tricks to growing in this climate, and enjoy other local foods and drinks.
Plus FREE tote bag to any NEW joining Member or Member-Owner who pay in their Equity Investment, woohoo!
Just a few of the local growers partaking will be: Mewaldt Organics, Holley Family Farms, Loping Coyote Farms, Sterling Farm,
plus many more!
As part of the festivities, we'll be featuring KEN JONES and his southern banjo stylins' from 10:30-11:30am

This is Bike to Work Week, and the Co-op is rewarding cyclists on Friday, May 16th with a free cup of coffee in store!Also on Friday, join us as we roll from the GBCFC to the Reno Bike Project's Pedal for Pancakes at 7am.
